McGehee's currently occupies several buildings on Prytania St. between Philip and First Sts; three of these are the work of Koch and Wilson.  The first is a12,000 square foot Middle School building, the second was added two years later and is the Lower School building.  The last one is the Arts and Sciences building which added 11,000 square feet to the complex.  These buildings house most of the specialized functions of the private school for girls. The style of these new buildings is not historical, but with the sensitive selection of materials and forms, the additions are made to harmonize with the historic residences of the Garden District.
