WHITNEY NATIONAL BANK  -  Morgan State Branch

 

This small branch of the Whitney National Bank was designed in association with Diboll-Kessels and Associates, and is one of four Whitney Banks designed by Koch and Wilson. Located at 430 Chartres Street in the View Carré, its façade incorporates granite columns salvaged from demolished buildings. In scale and detail, the Morgan State Branch fits comfortably into the French Quarter. The interior of this elegant 12,000 square foot bank focuses on a marble floored banking lobby with a coffered, barrel-vaulted ceiling supported by a colonnade in the Greek Doric order.
